Persunal Pools
Let’s Get Persunal!
That’s no typo.
Persunal refers to Eastgate Pools & Spas’ newest and most exciting offering in years: The plunge pool line from industry acclaimed Imperial Pools. These are small pools for those with limited space or for people not interested in a full-length swimming pool. They come standard in four sizes. The smallest is just 8’ wide and 16’ long, with three other sizes leading up to a 14’ by 28’. Constructed of the highest quality steel components, Persunal Pools are the perfect offering companion to Imperial’s larger Legacy Edition inground pool line. Just like Legacy pools, Persunal Pools feature G-235 zinc coated galvanized steel walls with no welds that would scar galvanization. But this is where Persunal Pools start getting…excitingly different.
Different strokes for different folks.
Persunal Pools are not meant to be lap pools. They are rest and relaxation pools and entertainment centers. They are a place to chill out and unwind and a place to talk with family and friends. Talk. Wow, what a novel concept. But the walls are 54-inches tall, so the main ‘body’ of water is far deeper than the shallow end of a standard pool. What makes Persunal cool is what happens elsewhere. For example, The Entertainer series features walk in entry and a tanning ledge. Plus, in-pool benches can be added on the deep end. The Socializer takes the idea a little farther with a bigger tanning ledge and an entry system that blends into the curvature of the lounge. The Recreational series offers a more traditional inground pool look. With an entry system consisting of full-width steps, this model maximizes the deeper water zone. You can also add a full-width in-pool bench on the opposite end of the steps. Last but certainly not least is the Lounger series. It features an extra-large lounging area with additional full-width steps leading from it to the deep end. For good measure, you can also add a bench on the deep end.
Liner options.
Persunal Pools come with a choice of four different designer liners. The key is they are all borderless, so your look won’t be interrupted. There are two blue options, with a lighter mosaic pattern and one with a dark swirl. There is also a silver basalt liner with slate tile-like design. Lastly, the Oyster gray features interlocking hexagons with differing shades. All are classified as 27-mil in thickness.
Liners are treated to discourage bacteria or fungal growth. Also, liners are finished with a clear topcoat to minimize the effect of UV rays. The result is a great looking liner that stays looking amazing for a long time.
What you can’t see matters.
What I stated in a recent prior post regarding Legacy Edition quality components under the hood also applies to Persunal Pools. The top and bottom flanges are even bigger, a full seven-inches, with two more bends bringing the total to ten-inches of steel. As the walls are taller at 54-inches, they max out at 4 feet in length. For extra strength, 7-inch panel stiffeners are added 16-inches on centers. Finally, maximum strength is achieved with adjustable turnbuckle side braces. These structural features may not be exciting to read about, but if you stop and see our full Persunal Pool on display, it will be much more impressive than these few words can describe.
Versatility.
Of course, your Persunal Pool can be installed completely in-ground, just like a Legacy Edition pool. However, you may want to have it only partially in-ground. Not a problem. This helps accommodate yards with some slope or for people just looking for a different design concept. It’s almost like a fountain look and provides a ledge for seating around the pool. There are some additional components needed for the project, but our pool professionals can better describe them in-person when you stop in for more information.
In short…
A Persunal Pool is a great choice for a homeowner with limited space or for someone that just wants to relax in a pool. As a smaller pool, there is far less maintenance and cleaning needed to keep your water clean and clear. As for chemicals, the cost is minimal. Filtration? No problem there either, but you won’t need to run the filter near as long to get the needed turns of water. And if you want to extend your season, a small heater will do the trick with an absolute minimum fuel or electric expense.
Please note that all Persunal Pools are strictly non-diving pools. Supervise all swimmers and children and post safety information at the pool. Lastly, it is always a good idea to have visible rescue devices near the pool. These are just common sense responsible steps that add to the security of your amazing backyard paradise.
